The math behind the trade calculator is actually pretty straightforward. All you would need to do is take the sum of the "+/-" value (from the Draft Pick Analyzer) from the players on your team and compare them to the sum of the "+/-" values from the players on the other team. If you subtract your sum from their sum and have a positive number, the trade is in your favor. The more positive the number the better the trade for you. See the example below.
EXAMPLE #1
THEIR OFFER Reggie Bush (+2.42) Todd Heap (+1.226) TOTAL (+3.646)
YOUR TEAM Travis Henry (+1.073) Antonio Gates (+2.44) TOTAL (+3.513)
THE MATH (Their Offer-Your Team) = Should I do it?
3.646-3.513=0.133
RESULT The trade is marginally in your favor. You could do it but it won't help that much
EXAMPLE #2
THEIR OFFER Reggie Bush (+2.42) Todd Heap (+1.226) TOTAL (+3.646)
YOUR TEAM Shaun Alexander (+3.63) Vernon Davis (-0.894) TOTAL (+2.736)
THE MATH (Their Offer-Your Team) = Should I do it?
3.646-2.736=0.91
RESULT The trade is significantly in your favor. You might want to jump on it quickly before the other owner has a chance to rethink the trade.
