Rookie positional expectations feedback
Reply Quote Edit
"2. Who is throwing him the ball? A receiver is nothing without a capable guy under center. Quarterback situations like Miami and Green Bay are examples of teams with receivers that you should probably stay away from this season. Sorry Donald Driver fans."

I disagree with throwing GB in there. Favre isn't capable?? Please... If you would have put Oakland, Minnesota, or KC in there I could respect that, but to lump Favre in there as a QB who isn't capable is just ignorant.

Last year GB's WRs were perpetually injured, and Favre was throwing behind one of the youngest lines in the league. Keep an eye on GB's WR corps in 07 as the running game may not be ready for prime time when the season starts. Driver should be drafted in the top 10, and Jennings will warrant a roster spot on somebody's team by the end of the year. Keep an eye on rookie WR James Jones.

You may not like Favre for whatever your personal reasons are, but any WR that is paired with a QB that averages the most attempts per game, as Favre did last year in 2006, moves up in my fantasy rankings, not down.

You know what? You're right. Farve is certainly capable. Capable of becoming the all-time interception leader. I predict he will finally have the season that convinces him to call it quits this year. If it isn't because he can't cut it, it will be because he has no running backs good enough to keep defenses honest, no tight end, and the line is still awful. Have a nice day.

You were right, Favre will have a year that convinces him to call it quits, but only because he won't have anything left to prove after winning his 2nd Super Bowl and 4th MVP. ;)
