Loading up on 1 player versus balance

I've tried different strategies for getting a big name guy like LT and also tried to create a balanced lineup in the past. Which is the best course of action. I've always wondered if I was doing the right thing.

I imagine you're talking about an auction league format. From my experience I'd go with the balanced method and get 3-4 mid-tier players for the price you'll be paying for someone of LT's caliber. That's not to say he isn't worth it, but if he goes down, then so do your season's hopes.

I paid 200+ in an auction league last year for Shaun Alexander and got killed. Too many eggs in one basket dude. Go with the balanced attack for less risk.
